This is Shannon Mangin, giving you a tour of one of the most exclusive neighborhoods that’s ever been built in the Austin Hill Country. This is Loraloma, which is the gated section of the Thomas Ranch neighborhood. Now, a little while ago, I did overview of Thomas Ranch, but this is going to dive into the luxury gated section of that neighborhood. And it is unbelievable. So stay tuned for all the details.

So we had a unique opportunity where we actually got to drive out to Loraloma, I love this community so much even the name is something special. Loraloma means the lore of the hills. So think of it as the stories of the hills. And the vision behind this is that the developers want to preserve all of the history of the land, its natural beauty. And so one of the things they’re doing, which is amazing is that out of 2200 acres of this whole development, they’re keeping 1200 acres as natural green space or parks. So it’s a way for residents to feel like they’re out in the hill country but still have some amazing amenities to enjoy. While living there. Developers of this neighborhood had built world class resorts such as Four seasons, Marriott resorts all around the world. So they’re sparing no expense on making this place an absolutely remarkable destination.

Here’s some of the things that they’ve promised that they’re going to include. So as I mentioned, half of the neighborhood is going to be kept open green spaces there will be 40 plus miles of trails, over two miles of river frontage. There will be an On Property, outfitter and an adventures team. So for families looking to have an active lifestyle you can enjoy things such as boating, waterskiing, jet skiing, horse riding, stand up paddleboarding, running, hiking, mountain biking, swimming holes, with hot and cold springs, rope swings, water slides and more. There’s going to be guided Hill Country tours, private hunting and private fishing tours. Or anyone who’s a golf enthusiast, there’s going to be an 18 hole David Mclay Kidd golf course that will have a clubhouse with river frontage, multiple dining venues lap and recreation pools, a member lounge. wellness facilities spa and fitness offerings. On top of that, there will be an activity barn, a dance hall and a tap room and an outdoor amphitheater for members only recreation and advance.

Loraloma will also have 24 hour gated security as well as a concierge to guarantee exceptional service every day. There will also be a small boutique hotel located at the top of the hill. It has some of the most spectacular views of the hill country. The lots that are being released right now for founders are also absolutely breathtaking, beautiful mature trees, canyon views. It is some of the best pieces of the hill country that I’ve seen in this area.
Now you might be wondering what are the costs to get in. We don’t have exact numbers yet. But to live in Loraloma, there’s going to be three styles of homes there’s cottages which start around 3000 square feet, there’ll be a estate size lots and then also villas. Now the cost of a cottage for the whole property including the home is about $3 million, the cost of the others will go up from there depending on size. If you go with a cottage you will be limited to a specific builder. But if you pick from the estate or villas, you’ll have some options on which builder you want to use as long as it abides by all the community guidelines. Now if that budget sounds like too much for you Don’t worry, the rest of Thomas Ranch is going to be absolutely spectacular as well. And the prices will be a little bit less expensive than that exclusive gated resort.

But some things you everyone can also enjoy in the front of the community is going to be a mini downtown. This is closer to highway 71. It will have a marketplace. There’ll be shops, restaurants. So this is going to be a real destination for people who live in Spicewood Lakeway that they actually want to go out to the Thomas ranch development.

We’re super excited about it.
